Privacy Policy

EZ-Force is built so that what you put into it stays on your iPhone. There are no accounts to create, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking. This page explains, in plain words, the small amount of information that does leave your phone and why.

The short version

• Everything you set up in the app — names, words, pictures, recordings, contacts, notes — stays on your phone.
• Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, name or email address.
• To keep track of which apps you own, the app tells our server an anonymous identifier issued by Apple, plus Apple's proof of your purchases. Nothing else.
• We don't sell, share or rent any information to anyone.

What leaves your phone

Purchases (Apple)

When you buy something in EZ-Force, the purchase goes through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive no payment details and no personal details from Apple.

Unlocking the apps you own (our server)

So that the apps you've paid for unlock — and stay unlocked when you restore on a new phone — EZ-Force contacts our server at only these moments: when you open Get more apps in Settings, after a purchase, and when you tap Restore purchases. It never contacts our server during a performance or at launch.

When it does, it sends:

• an anonymous identifier that Apple issues for your copy of the app (it is not your name, email address or Apple ID, and we can't use it to find out who you are);
• whether the app is an App Store copy or a test copy;
• Apple's signed proof of the EZ-Force purchases on your Apple account, which our server checks with Apple;
• the apps you choose, when a purchase lets you choose apps.

Our server keeps this record so your purchases can be restored. Like every website, the server's web logs also record the IP address and time of each request; those logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Maps

Some screens show a map. The map imagery is supplied by Apple Maps, as in any app that shows an Apple map, under Apple's privacy policy. EZ-Force does not ask for or use your location.

Optional permissions

EZ-Force works without any of these. iPhone asks you before any of them is switched on, and you can turn each one off at any time in the iPhone's Settings app. None of them sends anything to us.

• Contacts — only if you choose to show your own contacts in the app's contacts screen. They are read on the phone and never uploaded.
• Microphone — to record voice notes, and for an optional listening feature you start yourself. Recordings are saved only on the phone.
• Speech recognition — used with the listening feature. Recognition happens on the phone itself; no audio or text is sent anywhere.
• Photos — when you add a picture, iPhone's own photo picker opens and the app receives only the photos you pick. EZ-Force never gets access to your whole library. Pictures you add stay on the phone.
• Camera — to take a photo to use in the app. The photo stays on the phone.
• Location — EZ-Force does not request or use your location.
• Motion — the phone's motion sensors are read on the phone to make the app respond naturally. That information is never stored or sent.

Your content stays on your phone

Everything you set up as a performer — names, words, numbers, pictures, recordings, routines and settings — is stored only on your iPhone. It is not uploaded, backed up or seen by us. Deleting the app deletes it. A small record of what you've bought is kept in your iPhone's secure keychain so that it survives a reinstall.

Children

EZ-Force is a tool for performers and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You can delete the app at any time, which removes everything stored in it. If you'd like us to delete the purchase record our server holds for your copy of the app, email us at the address below. Note that this may stop your purchases restoring on a new phone until you restore again from Apple.

Changes

If what the app does with data changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
